For BlackBerry UEM administrators. Deploy Notate with the Notate 2026 Administrator's Guide, which applies to every MDM. This page covers only what is different on BlackBerry.
Entering Notate's settings
In BlackBerry UEM, Notate's app configuration is shown as a form in the management console: you fill in the fields directly instead of editing an XML file. Every setting, with its meaning and default, is listed in the guide chapter Notate MDM application policy configuration.
A few settings exist only on BlackBerry, such as BlackBerry Workspaces, BEMS for network drives, the DLP watermark and trusted server certificates; the policy reference marks them *BlackBerry only.
Network drives need a VPN on BlackBerry too
BlackBerry Dynamics does not carry network drive (SMB) traffic, so reaching corporate file shares needs a per-app or device VPN, such as BlackBerry Secure Connect Plus or CylanceGATEWAY. See Network drives (SMB file shares).
